May 1	Indra	50+	64	You could see the wreck from the surface!  Good vis, but bumpy/windy on the surface.
May 8	Normannia Cassimir	40 50	68	Moderate visibility, moderate water temperature. Lots of flounder on the Cassimir. Very calm seas until the ride home, but not too bumpy. A good day overall! Lionfish & Coronetfish were seen.
May 9	Lobster Wreck Rocks	70	68	Lobster, hog snapper and grouper! Slick seas all day long. Wow! Lionfish, frogfish & pompano- how nice!
May 10	Naeco Stern Papoose	30 40		We had a full week of hunting sharks for video: and amazingly flat calm seas every day! Spotted some silky sharks in mid-water, that's quite unusual.
May 11	Caribe Sea	70		Good vis and cooperative sharks.
May 12	Caribe Sea	60		Again, more video.
May 13	Caribe Sea	50		Can't quite get enough!
May 14	Papoose			Chasing sharks again, but not as many as the Caribe Sea!

May 16	Far East Tanker Caribe Sea			It's always a good dive on the Far East Tanker, but lower visibility than we expected.

June 6	Atlas Ashkabad	40 40		Frisky sharks on the Atlas: we waited a good 45 minutes for them to relax before diving. Strong current on the Ashkabad.
June 7	Proteus British Splendour	50 60		Challenging current on the Proteus, plenty of sharks hanging around. Much less current on the Brit Splendor.
June 8	Naeco Stern Naeco Bridge	70		Warm, clear water on the Naeco.
June 9	Sailboat Papoose	60		Tons of fish on the Sailboat, great visibility. A bit less vis on the Papoose.
June 10	Schurz Spar (new wreck)	50-60	77/71	After watching the 186' Spar sink in the morning, we dove the Schurz first and then went back to the Spar for a dive. It was sunk near the Aeolus, in 108' of water and sitting upright. It is a nice dive, and we had quite a treat to only be the 2nd dive boat to see a new wreck! It was still rocking about 2' side to side.
June 11	Schurz	60	77/70
June 12	Indra	40-50	74	Good vis on the Indra: a bit too bumpy to go offshore. A sandtiger shark was patrolling the decks, as well as cobia and a small stingray.
June 13	Schurz Aeolus	60 50	74	Nice conditions on the Schurz, as always. Plenty of sharks on the Aeolus: they were conveniently hanging around the anchor line!
June 17	Sailboat Papoose	100+	78	A mildly bumpy boat ride, but well worth the trip! The kind of visibility that NC is known for! Warm water all the way down, lots of fish and sharks. Curious barracuda, too. You could see a good portion of the Papoose from the hang line under the boat.
June 19	Suloide	40	76	A good dive location, especially since offshore conditions were a bit rough!
June 20	Suloide	40	76	Nice visibility on the Suloide today, and plenty of flounder!
June 21	Papoose Schurz	90+	78	Great dive on the Papoose: about 30+ sharks are hanging around the Bow, off in the sand. They're Back!!
June 22	Sailboat Spar	90+	78	Great visibility, and the Spar has lots of growth beginning to show up. Small fish have found it, as have the Amberjack and Barracuda.
June 23	Caribe Sea Duhamel	30 20	72	A decent day on the Caribe Sea, but not the vis we're having on the Southern wrecks.
June 25	Sailboat	90+	78	You could see the wreck from the surface.
June 27	Naeco Stern Sailboat	90+	78	Great day, great visibility.
June 28 in Hatteras	Empire Gem Bow & Stern	80/20	79/75	Dove both parts of the Empire Gem, but with it so close to the shoals, vis on the bottom left a bit to be desired.
June 29 in Hatteras	Proteus	80+	78	We always enjoy the Proteus, and there sure are a lot of big sharks on it!!
June 30 in Hatteras	Manuela Dixie Arrow	70 40	78	It's hard to have a bad dive on the Manuela, especially with sharks and lionfish milling about. The Dixie Arrow looks much different this year than it did last year, time & weather really takes a toll on these wrecks.

July 1 in Hatteras	Proteus Dixie Arrow	80+ 70	78	Another good dive on the Proteus, and better visibility on the Dixie Arrow. More curious juvenile Pompano, and stingrays on the Dixie. Still plenty of sharks on the Proteus.
July 2	Schurz Spar	60	77	The Spar has a lot of growth on it already, and so many fish that when you sit in the pilot house, it's like looking out into an aquarium. Nice Dive.
July 3	Naeco Stern Sailboat
July 4	Papoose Spar
July 5	Duhamel	30		Bit sloppy offshore so went to the Duhamel. Decent vis around 30ft. Warm. Plenty of flounder and a couple of large seashells were found.
July 6	Schurz	80		Always a good dive. 80ft vis of warm blue water. Divers were caught playing with an octopus.
July 7	Duhamel	25		Duhamel again, Where is our Mate? Vis a bit down from the digging. A lot of seashells was found today.
July 8	Naeco	100+		Where is that mate? Unlimited vis. made spotting the Lionfish easy. A black Lionfish with white fins was seen and photographed. Where is Kevin?
July 9	Schurz	90+		Schurz one last time. Mate is back, but where is Kevin? Super vis. and more octopus made for a great last dive of the week.  The Schurz rarely disappoints anyone.

July 24	Rockpile Ashkabad			Great vis on both wrecks, moderate current.
July 25	Naeco Stern Rocks			Beautiful dive on the Naeco, and nice rocks to find dinner on!!
July 26	Rocks Schurz			Nice rock ledge with plenty of lobster & grouper. Schurz has tons of baitfish making visibility more difficult.
July 27	Hardees Ashkabad	80/fishy	77	So many baitfish on the Hardees that you couldn't see the wreck.
July 30	Papoose Indra	80 30	77	A good day offshore after 2 blowout days: some sharks and lots of baitfish on the wrecks.
July 31	Suloide	50/15	77	A good swell from the "organizing storm" created a nice surge on the bottom, the top half of the water column had great vis, but it dropped to about 15-20' on the bottom. But you could see divers and parts of the wreck from the hang line! Strange.

August 2004

August 4	Papoose	50/15	78/73	Alex snuck up on us, but we had amazingly calm seas the very next day!! Flat seas & sunshine less than 24 hours after Alex came through were quite a surprise. However, below 80', vis on the Papoose was only 15-20'.
August 5	Naeco Stern Schurz	70/40+ 50/25	78 78/71	Seas today were good as well, and visibility on the Naeco was dramatically better than the Papoose yesterday. Even the Schurz had a good 25-30'. It can clear up quickly!!
August 7	Hutton Suloide	30 25	78	Nice clear vis on the Hutton. Good vis on the Suloide as well, but not quite so clear. A good inshore day!
August 8	Papoose  Indra
August 9	Naeco Schurz	80 60	79/73	A nice offshore day, good vis and warm, clear water. Baitfish are all over the Schurz again. Next-to-no current. The Sub had no vis today. Strange!
August 10	Naeco Bow Spar	80 40	79/73	Another pretty offshore dive, lots of grouper and lionfish. The Spar is growing up nicely: the storm wiped off much of the algae, and now some solid red plants are taking root. Tons of fish and sharks.
August 11	Schurz Duhamel	50 30	79/71 77	Tons of baitfish make it hard to see on the Schurz. We tried the Bedfordshire, but no vis.
August 12	Sailboat Duhamel	60 30	79/73 77	A pretty dive on the Sailboat, a usual. It's nice to see fish that aren't so skittish! The Duhamel was nice and clear again.
August 13-14	Bonnie/Charley!!			Back-to back storms messed up the weekend!! But winds were minimal, and it could have been much worse. We got lucky again.
